Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the college.
Zero Tolerance to Ragging
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in and outside the campus. The college follows the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 and its amendments.
What is Ragging?
- Any act that causes physical or mental harm, fear or shame to a student.
- Teasing, rude treatment or forcing a student to do something against his or her will.
- Any act of financial extortion or forceful expenditure put on a fresher.
- Any abuse by words, gestures, e-mail, social media or any other means.
Punishment
Depending on the nature of the offence, a student found guilty may face suspension, cancellation of admission, debarment from examinations, withholding of results, expulsion and a police case (FIR).
