General Rules & Regulations

General Discipline

• Every student must carry the college Identity Card and show it when asked by a teacher or staff member.
• Students must attend classes regularly. A minimum of 75% attendance in each course is required to appear in the university examinations, as per Gauhati University rules.
• Students must be in their classrooms on time and maintain silence and decorum in classrooms, the library and the office area.
• Ragging in any form is a criminal offence and is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be dealt with under the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging, 2009.
• Smoking, chewing tobacco/gutkha and consuming alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited on the campus.
• Students must not damage college property. Any damage will have to be made good by the student(s) concerned.
• Mobile phones must be switched off or kept silent inside classrooms and the library.
• Political activities that disturb the academic atmosphere are not allowed on the campus.

Examinations

• Internal assessments and sessional examinations are compulsory for every student.
• Use of unfair means in any examination will lead to disciplinary action as per university rules.

Office Matters

• All applications to the Principal must be submitted through the college office.
• Changes of address or mobile number must be reported to the office immediately.
• Notices are displayed on the college notice board and on this website. Students are responsible for keeping themselves informed.
